Yes, you may use an authenticator app of your choice. Common apps include Authy, Duo, Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator.
Using Home Banking via desktop:
- Login to Home Banking
- Select My Profile
- Select Edit under Security Options
- On the confirming your identity screen, ensure the by authenticator option-toggle is set to ON. Enter your password at the bottom of the screen and click save.
- You will then be directed to a QR code image. With the QR code viewable on screen, open your preferred authenticator app, do not close the screen with the QR code until after it is scanned using your preferred authenticator app.
- In your preferred authenticator app, locate the option to “add account.” After selecting to add an account, you should be directed to scan the QR code in Home Banking, or enter the 18-digit code that is provided. Once the QR code is scanned using your smart phone, or the 18-digit code is manually entered, you should now see Tower Federal Credit Union listed in the authenticator app.
Using Tower’s Mobile App:
- Login to Tower’s Mobile App
- Go to More and select My Profile
- Select Edit under Security Options
- On the confirming your identity screen, ensure the by authenticator option-toggle is set to ON. Enter your password at the bottom of the screen and click save.
In your preferred authenticator app, locate the option to “add account.” After selecting to add an account, enter the 18- digit code presented on the screen. You should now see Tower Federal Credit Union listed in the authenticator app.
