PENDING TRANSACTIONS

If I placed a stop payment on an electronic (ACH) withdrawal, why do I still see it as pending in my Home Banking Account History?
If Tower receives the withdrawal request, you will see it as pending. However, the stop payment should prevent it from posting to your account
